This is an image from the first chapter of my book "The Wizards of Pangea" depicting the Queen's demise. I just wanted to paint a gorgonon, the winged creature but ended up painting the scene of the Queen being overwhelmed by demons.

Thanks. I wanted something other than a dragon. A gargoyle idea ended up becoming this black lion creature.

I was really only going to paint the creature with the demon so I spent most of my time on it. The three demons and the queen took more time than I wanted to spend on them but I had to match the detail of the creature. Thanks!
